In West Virginia there is a river known as The Gauley. An outdoor adventure wonderland at most times, for 22 days every year, water is released from the dam upstream turning the Gauley River into a bumpin' whitewater cavalcade. With nine Class V rapids, it is the ultimate downstream journey in the United States.
